MELINDA LOOI’s CHARITY FOR CHILDREN

Melinda Looi started the charity for children by giving back to the community and invited 19 homes with underprivileged children to join a Swiss Circus. In 2018 Melinda Looi Group partnered with LGB Group and Le Tresor for this even bigger and better event.

Titled ‘The Greatest Show in Town’ the year’s Charity for Children fundraising night did combine a show from the International Swiss Dream Circus featuring the acrobats, aerialists, knife throwers, clown and special performances by Jaclyn Victor and Ayda Jebat, as well as a charity auction raised funds for 860 children. Besides, each ticket that sold for 24 August 2018 will sponsor one ticket or a child to attend the Swiss Dream Circus show the next day.

The total donations collected from tickets, auction and sales of items was RM315,895.33, which was distributed equally between the 19 homes. The 19 homes include Rumah Hope, Shelter hope for children, Rumah Charis , Ti Ratana, trinity children, we care journey, lighthouse children welfare, Rumah Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras, Openhands fellowship, Persatuan Rumah Kesayangan, Persatuan Kebajikan dah Pendidikan Raudhatul, Rainbow of love school, Rumah Titian Kasih, Promise Home, Ppkk Shah Alam, Pure Life Society, Yayasan Noor Manzil, Yayasan Chow Kit and Persatuan Kebajikan Jagaan Sri Sairam Selangor.
