Astoria Sales Gallery was the venue of choice for this event, being located on Jalan Ampang in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. It was a perfect match for the Melinda Looi Fashion Suites , which the designer dressed up with bespoke furniture printed in her latest RTW collections prints by furniture house Caccina . While mini fashion shows for the designers two latest collections unfolded, guests were treated with delicious canapes from a specially curated menu by established F&B house, Pretty On Plate . To further delight the guests tastebuds a wide range of drinks were served from Champagnes to Barista Coffee’s premium Coffees and TWG’s fine teas up to healthy smoothies by Green Buddy.
Throughout the four day event, guests enjoyed fashion shows, showcasing Melinda Looi’s recently launched The Interiors 2018 RTW collection, and her highly anticipated Melinda Looi Cruise Collection 2017/2018. The later comes right at a time where shoppers are looking for their new Christmas or Chinese New Year clothing to celebrate the respective festivities in style.
THE EXPERIENCES – At this year’s Melinda Looi Fashion Suites experience took a center stage. Ranging from the fairly new experience of sound healing offered by Alchemie Boutique to hands-on silk-screening sessions offered by Nala . Another novum was 3D Health Manufacturing, who offered a 3D scanning and printing service to customize shoe insoles for improving posture and general health.
Also did Melinda Looi bring in some of her latest discoveries of international household appliance among them items such as Laurastar’s ironing products and the Swedish Blueair air purification machines, all brought in by Visionary . Guests furthermore were pampered with well loved hand massages and makeup touch-ups services by top brands – La Mer and MakeUp Designory respectively.
THE SHOPPING – Customization was the buzzword when it came to shopping at Melinda Looi Fashion Suites. Not only did the guests have the chance for an intimate, one-to-one session with Melinda Looi making bespoke custom made pieces for their upcoming events and Chinese New Year, also special Chinese Collared Polo Ts were customized by using Epson’s latest Digital Printing Technology adding colourful printed pockets and personal initials to the designs. Complete customization is also the cornerstone of the Lewre Bespoke brand, which offered the experience of co-creating your very own bespoke shoes.
